Document Manager:
When a new staff person finds a client in LawInOrder, which is easy, they find all the client's documents. No more attention to enforcing a policy for where to file documents on the network server. And if you wish to find the client folder and documents using Windows Explorer, they are organized just the way you would organize them.
Document Generator:
Using Word97 merge fields and IF statements, and without any other software being needed, complex document drafting is possible. The client's data can be combined with the related party data so that form letters to adjusters, doctors, agencies, etc. include client-specific content. LawInOrder includes a wizard to lead you through the creation of your own forms and many forms come with LawInOrder.
Contact Manager:
Record the contact info for an adjuster, court reporter, attorney, agency, etc. and never enter that data againjust connect the contact to the new client. If the contact's address changes, one entry in LawInOrder changes the info for all clients related to that contact.
Proof Manager:
Connect the witness to the exhibits she will identify, to the issues she will testify about, to the chronology, and to the notes you made. For different case types (family law, p.i. mva, p.i. non-mva, guardianship, etc.theres no limit), a skeleton of the usual issues appears when the client matter is opened. Hide the issues that aren't relevant and use the rest as a checklist to line up witnesses and exhibits. When you add an issue to a case, the next new case of that type has the issue you addedthe issue checklist gets smarter the more you use it.
Schedule Manager:
If you wish to use Outlook and don't wish to purchase Exchange Server for $1000, LawInOrder will put dates into the Outlook calendar of anyone in your office, or on several calendars with one operation. If you need to create dependent dates, such as the do list that falls out of filing a case in King County, just enter the date into LawInOrder and it will create all the dependent dates and put them into the Outlook calendars of other people in your office. You can add dependent dates and you can create your own timetables, such as the tasks to accomplish upon acceptance of a new case.
Tutorial:
