Shawn Awan, Weyerhaeuser, 253-924-3036. Former supervisor as Test Lead, friend: “I wanted to express my appreciation for all the
contributions you have made at Weyerhaeuser in general, and to my projects in
particular. It is rare to see technical competency, sharp analytical thinking,
and excellent people skills all in one person. I can see why everyone you
worked with at Weyerhaeuser not only likes you but also respects your abilities
and trusts you to perform complex technical work. I remember how you responded
so well when we gave you a short notice and had you fly to a remote site to fix
a technical problem. I admire your responsiveness and empathy for users who
need urgent help. I respect your work ethics. You are conscientious and gave us
more than your fair share.”
Jack Keller, Weyerhaeuser,
253-924-4207. “Nathan Kirk was a technical resource for the PBS
Production Management Team while I was the Team Leader. In this capacity was
required to work with several divergent technologies. He showed strong ability
to quickly learn the needed skills by his own effort. He was very good at
ascertaining the correct approach and the quickest way to achieve the desired
results. He has a unique mixture of technical understanding, creativity and
strong people skills. Everyone enjoyed working with him and admired his results
oriented attitude.”
Brenda Langford,
Weyerhaeuser, 662-243-4267. “Nathan Kirk worked with the Columbus Pulp and
Paper Mill finance team to develop an Access database reporting tool that would
break down SAP summary level costs into the detail needed for mill financial
analysis. Columbus was the pilot mill
for Weyerhaeuser's SAP implementation.
Nathan was given the task of developing a tool that could be used at
Columbus, and later propagated to each new mill that implemented SAP. This was a complicated assignment that
required advanced Access programming ability and considerable knowledge of
accounting. Nathan understood the
concepts and theory behind the report very quickly. His knowledge of Access allowed him to provide input on the type
of data needed from SAP, and to quickly use that data to generate the
report. The Access tool he developed is
now being used as a prototype for development of an automated solution within
SAP. His responsiveness to questions/suggestions
for improvement has been great. It has
been a great pleasure to work with him on this project.”
John Clemmons, Weyerhaeuser,
924-3367. Former supervisor on Access tools, friend: “Nathan is a pleasure to work with. He has a positive relationship with his
coworkers. He eagerly tackles new work
requests. Nathan is able to rapidly
identify the possible solutions, and apply the correct tools to solve the challenges
that are presented to him. As needed,
he quickly picks up new technologies in order to solve problems in a timely
manner.”
Josie
Hoang, Weyerhaeuser, 924-4079. Former
co-worker on Access tools, friend: “Understanding of
data quality issues. Strong team player
with effective inter-personal skills. Effective collaboration skills. Strong
time management skills and multi-tasking capabilities. Well organized with
attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication.”
